game is fun... but it could do with a small guide and better shooting. it is pure luck whether you get a shot out at the time you need. and honestly a save that would let you close the game to continue another day would be great
1. The Lagomorph just gives you the pendant even if you lose, if you at least have 1 Speed Upgrade, or alternatively you cast magic on a Blue Caterpillar but don't take their upgrade, then leave the area she was in so to despawn the Upgrade, which apparently makes the game confused into thinking you got it, this helped with my Low% (yes, serious).
2. Despawned Upgrades still have their hitboxes when you come back, that is if you didn't took them in their visible form to begin with.
3. If you open the final door with an incapacitated enemy right by it, you trigger both animations (the door opening and getting the enemy's ingredient), which leads to you cloning the heroine.
4. I actually got defeated by the final boss (due to lasers with way too big hitboxes from what they appear), but I still defeated her, meaning the game played the game over music, but I still saw the ending.
I actually replayed the game enough to figure all that out, go figure. Heck, if you don't know, shoot your magic to the top of the screen, and it'll come back down, meaning I could do trickshots as well. Again, I found all this amusing.
Lmao, first the fairies crashland on the ground due to too much weight, then I was wondering what could make the Beholders move when I first saw them, and the answer to that was hilarious. The final health upgrade also had me laugh as well. I'm not of that game's demographic really, but I still found it amusing and kinda fun.
Lots of fun, and about the only complaint to be had is just that there's no save feature, meaning you need to beat the game in one sitting, and you can't revisit some content without grinding through everything else first.
Also, a small tweak that could help: Make the Wand charge passively, and let the player move and shoot. Slimes are the single most annoying enemy in the game, and that's solely because they are fast enough that you can't charge up a shot without getting hit. On top of that, they're so frequent and fast they mostly get you when you're exploring.
Had fun with it, just one question, what are the slime balls for? You end up picking up a lot of them during gameplay and I don't think I found a use for them.
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. You feed them to the slime lady. I thought feeding the slime lady was connected to boob size, I was wrong. I would have liked it if they were a possible alchemy ingredient cause you pick up so many of them so easily and there currently isn't a use for them beyond the slime lady. Heh, if they were it would be 5 more transformations.
This game it's great! Love the animations and all the art, they are really well done.. and really lewd too~
The game has quite a lot to do and I didn't find it repetitive at all (it has some problems and I did had to repeat all again and again, maybe try implementing a save option).
I'd recommend a gallery of animations at the menu, and maybe more TFs with the scientist ^^
Overall a very fun experience, except for one HUGE problem of mine which is the fact that there's no save feature. The little stone platform in front of the statue could've easily been a save point. If that feature ever gets added, this might be one of my favorite BE games!
It's been a really long time since I played an action exploration game as fun as this one! The beautifully animated sprites make the game a real joy to play! The music and sound effects are a really good fit for the art style. You strike a fantastic balance with keeping the gameplay simple, but also engaging, varied and interesting. I also enjoyed the unencumbered design with simple controls and the strictly-visual style of storytelling. The length felt perfect. Very nicely done!
Some potential points of improvement:
-I've encountered a rare game locking bug early into my first attempt. A slime caused the main character to permanently disappear after hitting her. It may be hard to track down the cause, but a "return to checkpoint" button could help prevent stuff like this from being game breaking.
-I've done everything you can do in the game without the "e" key before I realized that I'm missing something. Including it on the stone monument at the start or showing it instead of the blue box animation would help dense players like myself.
-The detailed stone floor and rivers are not immediately apparent to be passable especially with the water at the start of the game being impassible. Not a big issue, but a more subtle 2 color texture for the stone and dark color for deep water could help clarify things.
-Limiting the range on projectiles should disincentivize the player and enemies from trying to fight each other from offscreen.
Thank you for sharing such an amazing game with us, you have done a wonderful job! I will be sure to check out any of your future projects!
This game looks really promising, but its nearly impossible to play, simply because your staff randomly decides not to shoot. i hoipe that will be fixed soon, because i really cant recommend it in its current state, since nearly every second enemy encounter will result in a death an respaw.
EDIT: ok, scrolled through the comments a bit, seems everything is fine if you lock your monitor to 60 Hz.
i like the transformations at the goblin alchemist aswell as the animations. (do find it a bit amusing though that going into negative breast size causes the disciple to just implode.)
(all the problems/bugs i had was immediatly fixed by setting refresh rate to 60)
i dont mind being unable to save since the game is quite short but other then that it's a pretty fun short game and looking forward to see what you make next!
Edit: Nevermind. Apparently your character moves slower if you have your refresh rate at anything above 60. Completed the race first try after fixing it
I think as the first time to make a game, this game has been done quite well, but there are many bugs. There are always bugs when launching magic bullets. Sometimes it can be fired, and sometimes it can't be fired, so I think it is fun to play. It is indeed a bit more laborious. But overall it's ok.
And I read everyone's comments in the comment area, and I also hold the same opinion,
1. It would be great if you could look back at the memories of the transformation of the Goblin Pharmacist. Or it can be turned into a continuous state for a period of time, adding some abilities and reducing some abilities, which will be more interesting. There are also some functions that can keep the player in this state all the time. After all, some transformations are really good-looking.
2. The core problem is that the bugs of the game need to be fixed, but this takes time and cannot be rushed. Slowly polish, I will continue to support this game. Because I think this requires our support, and we will have the opportunity to see more games of this type in the future.
3. The function of game save and resurrection point transmission is also necessary, and I hope to add it.
The first time I played the game, I almost got all the decorations, but I still couldn't pass the last rabbit race. I can't think of how to pass this rabbit race for the time being. Get the final decoration and fight the final boss.
just finished it, the game's good, only problems i have with it is that there's no save feature, and the game kinda ends abruply, would've loved to continue playing after you were done.
I like this game, not bad for a first attempt! As the others said, it is a little buggy and could really use at least a save function to overcome it. Not something too complicated, something that just tracks what upgrades you got and just spawns you at the statue. You've put in a lot of stuff to do and it's hard to get around to it all without some random bug crashing the game (I got hit by a goblin when I had beanbag-chair-size breasts and it crashed).
Also I recognize your name from The Overflowing Bra and you wrote one of my favorite stories. :D
Very fun game once you get used to it. Wish it had some sort of save function so it could be played in multiple sittings or in case of crashes, since it sucks to make progress only for the game to suddenly crash on you, meaning you lose it all. So far I've only had one issue where my character froze after I pressed E for an action and one crash when I encountered the hooded ladies, not sure if it was because of them or because I accidentally hit space bar while trying to avoid their attacks.
Okay! Third try, and I managed to do everything but the final boss! Went up to the door, but suddenly a deer girl I had accidentally shot while messing around a moment before ran up the steps and hit me. I took her down, went to go get back to full health. And then right after that, my character model vanished, I could not move, and the game crashed. I'll stop my playthrough there. It is a shame I didn't get to see it finished, but for what it's worth I loved what I saw. Game has a lot of charm and fun to it, I don't regret that I decided to give it money, I hope to see what else you can do!
Thank all of you who downloaded and gave my game a shot! I appreciate every one of you!
I feel terrible about all the people who are unable to play due to the rampant bugs, especially the monitor Hz problem because I have no idea how to fix that on my end. I at least hope a few people were able to enjoy it, regardless of how difficult it was to make it to the end without crashing or getting softlocked.
This is my first ever game project, and it all started out as an experiment for teaching myself Godot. I clearly still have some fundamental work to do if I intend to keep using it for whatever's next (tbd).
There are upgrades hidden around the map that help with this. However, if your movement speed is slow on game boot up, you might not be able to do this race.
When programming, you'll find (if you haven't already done so) that sometimes it's worth rewriting your code rather than desperately trying to patch bugs. As daunting as that sounds, you could very well have some "lightbulb moments", where you realise that the new code is easier to maintain and/or is simply more efficient... Literally to the point of, "How come I didn't think of that before?" and "If only I had known earlier that I could use <insert routine here>!" :)
So, keep the game's ideas and consider revisiting the code... ^^
I would recommend fixing bugs firsthand and people have mentioned them but I find it weird that when pressing E on a down witch and a circle shows up it damages you. Also would add in invincibility frames after getting hit
Swogrider, this game is amazing. I had some bugs myself, but once I got the game to run at regular speed and movement I had a TON of fun with this. Especially the final boss. You must have worked hard on that.
I like the game's concept. However, I won't be completing it any time soon as the character disappears at some point after taking down an enemy and pressing 'e' to have it "taken away". I'd forgive such a bug if there was a save feature...
this is decently well made first game, if you want you can msg me on twitter (same name) and I can help you fix some of the bugs or give feed back on systems and concepts. I know it is a bit random but I have been coding in godot for multiple years now.
And thank you for makeing a fun short game and a good job on your first game! After putting my monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz the game ran pretty much without any issues. I did however stumbled upon one crash and that was me pressing E on the wheat in the upper right portion of the map when trying to look for secret things to interact with if there were any ^_^'
i do have one question though about the end so... if the disciple implodes upon reaching negative breast size... does that mean the Goddess of Breasts did the opposite and go boom?
Played through it. It's not much, but that's fine. For the simplicity, it's pretty well thought through.
My biggest complaint is hit boxes. Particularly in the boss fight. It is VERY difficult to get through that fight because of how easy it is to get hit. I do like the concept where artifacts increase your power. The other power source (and the only way to win the race) is just a little too obscure. Some animations can be messed with if you try to do too many things at once. I have managed to softlock myself by getting out of the dying animation.
Some more specific thoughts, spoilers ahead.
- The small beholders slingshotting themselves is a little annoying. It makes you think they're attacking you when they're harmless. I think they should just follow with a drooling animation to better convey that they won't hurt you.
- I think the Alchemist potions should have been useful as long-term transformations for puzzle solving, or even a defensive measure. Like Floating Boobs prevents the Mage spells from hurting you.
- I would have liked a small "sandbox" mode that lets you replay animations. Particularly with the Slime Queen.
- Goblins have a global range on their attacks. Unlike the Mages, who have to be within a set distance, this can be very annoying.
Once you've found any of the seven gems for the statue in the center of the map, you can use it to increase your health and size. Once you hit maximum size and have found them all, you can open the gates on the mountain and fight the final boss!
In case you may have missed it, in the pause menu there is a map on the bottom left. It may give you some hints on where you need to go. =)
Bugs: 1. Once you've hit max size, you can enter the tower door by touching the backside of it, not even climbing the tower or actually opening the door at all. 2. The beholder guys get yeeted way too easy, one got launched way off screen and I never found him again. (Pls make them respawn if left alone too long.) 3. If two slimes hit you at the same time, the game softlocks. 4. The flying mages will constantly use magic when they shouldn't be able to. 5. Can't figure out what triggered it, but after reaching max size, hitting E in a lot of places will cause the character to disappear and some "regal-sounding" music will play, then you'll reappear. 6. The flying mages will often just ignore being hit, the shot will disappear, but they wont get BE'd. 7. While doing the potion stuff, I hit spacebar once and it made a copy of me appear, and made the machine keep dripping potions. 8. Got the necklace twice from the slime queen, it appeared, I grabbed it, it appeared again, I grabbed it again. I think this happened with another statue upgrade, but I forgot when.
WASD to move, click to charge your shot, and release to fire (assuming it's charged the whole way.) You get movement speed and charge speed upgrades later, by shooting the mushroom caterpillar women.

game with a lot of bugs and you cant save, with all of bugs that this have it's frustrating to have to do it all over again
game is fun... but it could do with a small guide and better shooting. it is pure luck whether you get a shot out at the time you need. and honestly a save that would let you close the game to continue another day would be great
I unironically found a few glitches;

Sometimes hitting the space bar will crash the game.
hope it runs on mac

Love the game! Well done~
It's fun but it really needs a save feature, especially if touching the spacebar instantly exits the game.
does anyone know how to fix the glitch where when you shoot it won't shoot from time to time
Wish this game could run on linux.

how many speed upgrades are there i only found three
Can someone tell me where are the 3 red monsters? I found the one in the desert and the one near the purple mushroom, where's the third?
The third is near the pink slime queen. If you go 'west' from there, you should run into it eventually.
i like the transformations at the goblin alchemist aswell as the animations. (do find it a bit amusing though that going into negative breast size causes the disciple to just implode.)

How do I win the race!?!?! :,(
Get more speed buffs.
I tried all kinds of gimmicks, but you can't win unless you have all of the speed upgrades.
You MIGHT be able to pull off a speedrunner strat to win while missing one speed upgrade, maybe, but I don't know.
How many speed buffs are there? I only found 3.
Edit: Nevermind. Apparently your character moves slower if you have your refresh rate at anything above 60. Completed the race first try after fixing it
Great game! Would you mind, if I add it to the TFGames database (tfgames.site)?

A save function would be great, was attacked by a sudden slime and the character disappeared. I couldn't move and had to close the game.
needs a save function otherwise its good
For a first game, this is really great. There are problems, but the graphics and ideas are great. I can't wait for your next game
Can here be futa stuff if this game gets any future updates?

No clue how to win the race tbh

Should we expect bug fixes or are you more interested in working on something else? Give it to me straight!
Probably moving on. A lot of the bugs still in the game are there because I couldn't figure out how to get rid of or circumvent them.

I literally cannot figure out this game. I shoot enemies, and use E to get materials from them... but I just die instantly with a bust -1
how does the player level up?

If anyone have problem with the staff: change your display refresh rate to 60hz.
Windows settings -> Display -> Advanced display settings -> Refresh rate.
This actually fixes everything with the game, from the staff not working to the player moving too slow
trying turning gsync off worked for me
I want to love this game, but the staff is an unreliable piece of work
It's almost like the staff doesn't want to work 90% of the time
Bugs:
1. Once you've hit max size, you can enter the tower door by touching the backside of it, not even climbing the tower or actually opening the door at all.
2. The beholder guys get yeeted way too easy, one got launched way off screen and I never found him again. (Pls make them respawn if left alone too long.)
Can anyone tell how to play this game? I can't shoot and I walk like snail.
WASD to move, click to charge your shot, and release to fire (assuming it's charged the whole way.)
You get movement speed and charge speed upgrades later, by shooting the mushroom caterpillar women.
They're not the only one having this issue. The wand doesn't seem to like firing sometimes, and I move extremely slowly.
